Welcome to Chase Great Pyrenees. Our Great Pyrenees are beloved members of our family, and our goal is to produce a litter or two of puppies that become beloved family members as well. These carefully planned litters will seek to improve the temperament, health, and conformation of the breed. All of our Pyrs that are bred will be pointed, AKC Champion or Grand Champion . Their eight generation pedigree of champions, includes the top winning Great Pyrenees bitch of all time, and on of the top producing bitches of all time. The grandsires and granddams of the planned litter are also in the Hall of Fame.
Prior to being bred, all of our dogs have all health tests required to obtain a CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) clearance. They have cardiac, patellas, knees, and hip x-rays. Both the planned sire and dam of our first litter are OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) certified in cardiac and patellas. Their hips and elbows certified as Good. They also have been screened for a neurological disease (NDG).
I am a member of the Great Pyrenees Club of America in good standing.
Our foundation sire, GCHB WhiteRose Chase What Matters CGCA, Va, Ve, Vx (Jake Austin) is a bit of an over achiever. He started his show career at six months old, which is the minimum age for showing. He finished his AKC Championship the week he turned eight months old. Before he turned six months old he also achieved the title of AKC Star Puppy in his obedience class. Before he turned a year old he completed his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) AKC title. Continuing in his conformation show career straight out of puppy class his achieved his Grand Championship at 13 months old, and achieved his Bronze level Grand Championship by the time he was 19 months old. He finished the year 2014 ranked as #8 Great Pyrenees in breed points.
Our Foundation Girl, Ch. Elridge Chase the Joy (Joy), is a very special Champion girl who has passed all of her health tests as well. Her pedigree is similar to that of Jake Austin, and contains many of the same ancestors. She has a wonderful sense of humor and has grown to fulfill her namesake. She finished her AKC championship easily at 18 months old. Our youngest girl, Mandy, has just started her show career, but already has two points towards her championship.
We plan to breed Joy to Jake Austin in April or Mayin hopes of puppies in late summer. Please contact us and complete a puppy application form to be placed on a waiting list.
